The Hangar Collective is a Calgary based film production collective built by working directors, cinematographers, and operators who regularly produce commercial and brand film work across Canada.
We exist to give brands and agencies a simple, direct way to create high quality work without unnecessary layers between the idea and the people making it.

Across much of the film industry, commercial projects pass through multiple agencies and production companies before reaching the operators on the ground. While this structure is familiar, it often introduces added cost, friction, and distance from the creative process.
By the time production begins, a significant portion of the budget has already been allocated to overhead rather than the work itself.
We built The Hangar Collective as a response to this model.

The Hangar Collective operates as a single, integrated production partner. All members work out of one shared space, share infrastructure, and collaborate closely across projects.
Everything is owned in house, from traditional filmmaking tools to specialty equipment such as cinema drones, remote arm cars, and high speed cameras. This allows us to move efficiently, scale projects appropriately, and keep production value high without unnecessary complexity.
Brands and agencies work directly with experienced decision makers and creators from day one. The result is a process that is efficient, transparent, and focused entirely on the work itself.
